Las Fuerzas Especiales y otras unidades comenzaron a usar las bolsas de equipo de aviador como bolsas de viaje, bolsas de vuelo para pilotos y bolsas de despliegue debido a la gran abertura en la parte superior, que es lo suficientemente grande como para permitir que un chaleco antibalas quepa cómodamente en su interior.
