When we say we put all of our products to the test, we mean it. When we first released the Shoulder Bag eight years ago, one weirdo (Josh Rubin) even carried it through a Challenge, with Challenge weight in it (30#s). Maybe he’s not the smartest, but it makes for a fun story. And it proves that if everything we build can withstand a 24+ hour GORUCK Challenge event, then it will last you for a lifetime.

Here at GORUCK, we like to put all of our gear to the test by adding heavy weight. Ruck Plates, Sand Kettlebells, you name it. If the Shoulder Bag can handle all of this extra weight, then it can definitely carry your laptop with ease. And hey, you can multitask and get fit at the same time. Asymmetrical carries are the best way to build your core compared to other core workouts (sit-ups we’re looking at you), so who said you couldn’t do it while being professional.

The use of 10.10oz Army Duck Canvas can be traced back all the way to the mid-19th century. Army Duck canvas is a medium-weight, versatile fabric. The way that it is constructed is with an incredibly tight weave of the yarn, making it tough and resistant to tearing. The extra layer of wax protects the fabric from different elements you may encounter, and makes the fabric waterproof, yet allows it to sweat vapor and still not stiffen or yellow over time. It only looks better with age and use.
